Independent network and systems consultant
I fix the temporary fix that became permanent.
Over 20 years in networks, systems and software, turning broken things and questionable decisions into boring, reliable ones. Based in Central Visayas, working across Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
Most setups look fine from the boardroom and run on workarounds underneath. In the Philippines there is a name for it, temporary-permanent: meant to last a week, still there three years later. I find those, fix them properly and hand them back in a state your team can run. I work with CTOs and infrastructure leads who would rather find out now than during an outage.

A look at your network, systems and processes, ending in a short, prioritised list: what to fix first, and why.
I implement what we agreed, hands-on or alongside your team, and explain it as I go, so your people own it after I leave.
Self-hosted language models and on-premises inference, put to work on real processes, with your data staying in the building.
Training for your team before, during or after a project, built around your own setup instead of a textbook.
Work so far
- Since 2020WrkPod via ProNetivity Inc.
The network for an enterprise on its way to 10,000 seats across a dozen facilities: its own address space (AS149833), several upstreams, and every buildout along the way.
- Since 2018RISE via ProNetivity Inc.
Consulting network and systems engineer at an enterprise and wholesale ISP (AS63927). In the early days I ran its systems landscape across every POP.
- 2018GetaFIX
Helped initiate what is now the largest carrier-neutral internet exchange in the Philippines, in 12 data centres from Manila to Singapore. I was part of the team that built the first implementation, and I still help networks get peered.
- over 50 projects in between, not all of them listed
- Since 2017Enterprises and service providers independent
Consulting in multiple countries, with a focus on the Philippines and its neighbouring economies. That now includes a few local government units and regional police offices, command centres among them.
- 2017 to 2023A bank in Asia
Consultant for six years: process automation and optimisation, network operations and security, and the NOC. The name stays under NDA, which is how it should be.
- 2015HARIBO
Helped build the IT security unit, the ITSU, and was part of the team running the network perimeter across 25+ sites worldwide.
- 2012 to 2021Foundation University, Dumaguete
Head of IT operations, then IT consultant.
- 2007 to 2014B1 Systems
Linux consultant and trainer: 50+ projects for clients including SAP, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, EADS and T-Systems, and LiMux, the City of Munich's Linux migration, through Computacenter.
I train and speak for enterprise and service provider teams, at PhNOG and at universities around the country. LPIC-2 and SUSE certified.
What I build
EXODUS, built at Immerse Networks Limited, is the proprietary, security-hardened embedded operating system, based on FreeRTOS, that ships on our monitoring and access-control products.
ExtrusionLedger, for 3D printing businesses, comes from there too. At ProNetivity Inc. I build a lot of custom software for clients, shaped around how they actually work. Alongside that, 30+ open-source tools for network and systems work.
